Today my mom took Kyle for most of the day, freeing us up to make a donation to the special olympics (local team) and also letting us enjoy some time with Michael. We donated all of our left over garage sale stuff - including my wedding dress and a large variety of other things. The back of our pick up was full (double stacked in some spots) and then a few more things in the car.
It felt great to give the stuff and I would suggest to everyone that this is a great way to help recycle and also clean your house. Most of the stuff we've been packing for more than four years without any use. It was surprising the number of textbooks that we had. I kept some of andy's textbooks because they are relevant to my current work.
Since we had some Kyle free time we took Michael to weigh in - he is now 29 inches tall and 21 lbs 5 oz. I definitely feel the 21 lbs. I'm surprised that I'm able to carry him for the length of time that I do.
Kyle had a great time with Grandma. They spent the day with the puppies, playing and having a lot of fun. They met us for dinner (half way point Sylvia's Cafe - best home style cookin') and then we came home.
Trying to get stuff done now because Andy's departure date keeps getting closer. He will be taking a course in Vancouver starting in mid October and we have quite a few tasks that need to be completed before then.
Babies cryin' and I need to finish some paper work. Nighty night... pictures soon.

Hi Sarah - I did read your comments - I went and checked out Garnet's space... very cute little guy.
Andy is going to take the medical emergency responder course that leads into paramedic training. He will likely find work without the additional paramedic training but we are planning for him to return to vancouver to finish the training.
I can't believe Michael is bigger. We met up with another baby this week who was two weeks younger and you could plainly see the difference. I regularly get that he is big - but I have had a few people who said he was small... I just nod and smile and think... you pack this bag of flour around for an hour and see how little he is... this cute bag of flour :)
My scrapbooking is making progress - I'm sorting my page photos out. I use to scrap on the fly and now I take way more time - pick all the photos ahead of time and then figure out what I will match with. I think my style has changed because I'm doing more pages for others than myself. I'm hoping to change that this fall. I need to do this last year for the grandparents but I'm thinking of doing big events or just the months of the year with summaries... I would like to keep it to no more than 16 pages each and usually I just double my stuff and create the same (nearly the same) sets for the grandparents. I will happily take any suggestions anyone has about this! ;) Well I'm beat - Michael is not sleeping through the night and I just can't get well rested - and when I do try to rest I just think of all the work stuff I should be doing.. arg...
Where do you buy online? I've shopped at two peas in a bucket, but had terrible customer service and then most of the stuff I ordered didn't get in the shipment so they just credited my account. The accounting system they have doesn't make it very clear as to how much of a credit you have and it took me quite a few emails to get them to tell me what was left.
I love the langley precious moments shop but find that there is soo much to look that I just keep buying the same things... of course that section keeps shrinking. A great example of this is my love of sticker letters and it seems that this must be going out of style as I can hardly find them anywhere and then they usually carry only a few. I'm not super keen on computer lettering as I feel like it doesn't really have as big a time commitment to it - if that makes any sense.
I can't wait to see your pages. I love to see what other people have done. My mom got me a subscription to Creating Keepsakes and I love it. There are usually a few great ideas that I can use.
