Tuesday 10 on Wednesday - the leap day

This week's questions are from (and hosted by) Chelsea over at Roots and Rings. 

1. What did you do this weekend?
I drove back to Quesnel - two weeks early from my vacation plans.

2. Do you prefer short fingernails or long fingernails?
I'm into shorter nails because they don't get torn off - as much - but I have had long nails.

3. What is your favorite use for Pinterest?
Still figuring out how I will use pinterest - I do love looking around on it.

4. Do you sleep with your mouth open?
Closed.

5. Where did you have the best pizza you’ve ever eaten?
Northern Pizza in PG during university - I fell in love with it and gained many a pound as a result - I don't eat pizza anymore... sigh - stupid dumb cheese.

6. What do you eat for breakfast on weekdays?
A grande soy green tea latte

7. Do you watch awards shows? Why or why not?
Not so much - I watched very short segments of the Oscars because I'd heard that Billy Crystal was hosting but didn't get into it.. just hasn't been a movie or tv year for me... that said we watched Hugo tonight because we read the book out loud - together and the kids learned all about the disappointed of screenplay changes to accommodate the development of film... books are just plain better!

8. Can you whistle? Snap? Curl your tongue? Bend down and touch your palms to the ground?
Yes to whistling, snapping (not very loudly though), curling tongue and bending down to touch my palms on the ground... shocking... but true :)

9. What email service do you use?
Gmail - of course - but I do use accounts for work too

10. What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Well I enjoy walking/running outside - it just isn't the same inside... 

Ok - and now... what the hell happened... the short version is this... 

Bali was not the place that I thought it was going to be.  It was greatly disappointing and the rest and relaxation I ached for was not to be found.  I went back to work this morning, and felt like I'd never left... that was an even bigger disappointment to me... and it made it very difficult to get into anything today... very very sigh.  Lessons... I'm still learning from this latest experience...  I did, however, enjoy TLC Australia - thank god for satellite television in third world countries... :)

Other stuff... my knee is a mess right now, and I've had a cough for six weeks.

The kids are fantastic and Kyle is reading like I used to as a kid... it is amazing to watch him get so into a book and it was a great experience to see him enjoy Hugo tonight because we'd read the book together... a very happy parenting moment... Michael is great and growing and - well they are both just growing and I can't believe how smart and happy and great they both are.

That's all for tonight... I know I'll have more to say about Bali and the rest of my trip but the words are lacking tonight and my knee is aching - so I'm off to the shower and some advil and sleep since last night had numerous wake up calls and a 4am reader lurking in the house.  xo - my love to you!
