vancouver

After a lengthy seven hours from Kelowna to Van (should have taken 5 max) then dropping the kids off, getting lost (kind of) and then attending my board meeting late I finally have a couple of minutes to say hello. My meetings have been good and I'm not one who is easily impressed by conferences. Today was better than most days at conferences and I managed to meet a few professionals I've never met before and sit on one great discussion and one good discussion - I also got to have sushi for lunch and dinner - HOORAY!

Now I have a nostril that will not stop running and I'm convinced it is the elevation change and that I'm just trying to adjust.

It is Mom's day on Sunday - so call your mommies and tell them how much you love them.

I'm back at the conference tomorrow - hoping for another interesting day - then a new conference on Saturday in downtown Vancouver... that one should be interesting,... not as grand but still good for new info...

Good night my hens and chicks - sleep well.

A past mayor of Quesnel was reported to have been bribed about putting something through for CN. I don't know the details. All I know is mayor + CN + money + endorsement

I can't log into my blog to edit it. Took forever to post a comment trying to get my account to switch over, and it put my name over, but didn't connect my blog to my name and I can't do anything there! ARRRRRGGGG!

I've had a problem with my sinuses since January. Might be the air.

Enjoy your conferences and meetings.

I did some homework and found our more info - our past Mayor Wallace took $1,000 - he says in payment for services, the information going around is that this $1K was not for that and that maybe it was a payment to assist in ensuring that BC Rail was bad mouthed throughout the province - I'm sure this will not be the only cheque found and really - over $1K - I'm a little surprised it as big a deal.... I guess we will see what happens - if it was a payment on work down - there should be some record of that... my sinus is no better this morning... blah - I need some allergy medication - my first workshop was fabulous and my second one I walked out of... lord... I hope this afternoon goes better :)

The wonderful people at blogger found the error, and I can now access my blog! Yay! (Okay, that doesn't mean I've updated. I would have last night, but I couldn't, and now I won't for awhile...probably.)

Did the afternoon go better? It was such lovely weather. My students did not want to work. I didn't either. Couldn't convince myself to.

We're going to release some baby salmon into the neighbourhood creek tomorrow morning after music class. Quentin loves doing it...I'm looking forward to Jade's take on it all.

Be well. Take some meds.
