Just another magic monday

Last night I saw something amazing - something I haven't seen since I was a kid

These are the beautiful Northern Lights - they danced in green.
points for naming the constellation in this photo (gotta click on it to see it)

More gorgeous Northern Lights

The moon was amazingly brilliant last night and
I was able to capture this beauty -
moonlight pouring over this mountain range...

Another beautiful skyline

Cute kid #1 - 2nd day of kindergarden

Cute kid #2 - 1st day of Grade 4 and yes - I'm well aware that these boys need hair cuts...

And with all this heat and the return of summer my roses decided to take one more kick at the can this year - hooray! They are beautiful.

I can't turn down any extra points, even if it's a total gimme question. Unless, of course, you're looking for one of the native north american names for it. I'm totally out of the running there.

Ursa Major. a.k.a. The Big Dipper.

Northern Lights are great. I was in a Chemistry lecture in one of my later university years, and I was the only one in the class who had seen them before. Such a shame.

Thank you, Jen! Excellent work - you are absolutely right! I had the answered called into me as well :)

Congrats, Jen - 10 points!

I was also surprised by how few people have seen the northern lights - I guess there was a weekend of them in Quesnel - they were kicking around on saturday night too...

Thank you for the hugs - many to you! xo
